Adria Hotel Prague has finished in the second place from all of the whole European Union in the „EU Ecolabel Communication Award“.
On the 18th October the European Commission has announced the winners of the 2010 EU Ecolabel Communication Awards. The award is given to company for exceptional promotional activities to increase public awareness of the EU Ecolabel – the EU's label for environmentally-friendly goods and services. Adria Hotel Prague, third year holder of the EU Ecolabel „The Flower“, had taken part in the award with its many activities.
The main criteria of the award looked at are Quality & creativity of the campaign, Effective Flower logo use, Relevance of promotional activities undertaken and Results achieved. The jury is composed of the European Commission and representatives of several Competent Bodies, as well as the press and a representative of an NGO or an educational organization. This year was nominated 13 companies from 11 countries from huge number of applicants (Belgium, The Czech Republic, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Sweden). Adria Hotel Prague’s application has broken through among the thirteen best and finished in amazing second place from all applicants from the whole of the European Union.
The European Commission paid honours to Adria Hotel’s application with following: „ In the name of the Jury members and the European Commission, it is our pleasure to honor Adria Hotel Prague’s very strong application for the second EU Ecolabel Communication Award. Adria Hotel Prague ranked second place in the service provider category, with it‘s innovative approach and visibility of the EU Ecolabel logo. Many aspects of it‘s application attracted the attention of the Jury. Outstanding use of the EU Ecolabel logo, for example on badges made it highly visible. The Jury also took a special liking to the way in which Adria Hotel Prague raised public awareness of the EU Ecolabel by displaying the logo during it‘s activities and campaigns, for example with the jogging route through Prague. These actions are an effective way of promoting environmentally responsible behavior in a fun and innovative way.
The European Commission adds: “We greatly value Adria Hotel Prague’s efforts”.
